BasecampCheck / Legal

Terms of Service

Last updated October 8, 2026 · BasecampCheck

1. Our service

BasecampCheck is strictly an automated information and notification utility that alerts subscribers to publicly available reservation cancellations and schedule openings. BasecampCheck is NOT a travel agency, booking agent, broker, ticket reseller, or representative of any park authority, venue, or ticketing company. We do not execute bookings, purchase passes, or guarantee reservation success on behalf of users.

You are responsible for making and paying for reservations directly with the official provider, obtaining required permits, and confirming rules, eligibility, dates and access. Sample availability, forecasts and briefings are demonstrations, not verified live information.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase a plan. Provide accurate information, keep account credentials secure, and use only phone numbers you own or are authorized to enroll. Plans and monitor limits belong to your signed-in account; a phone number is a delivery target, not proof of plan ownership.

3. Billing, renewals and cancellations

Monthly Trailhead, Alpine and Expedition subscriptions automatically renew at the disclosed price until canceled. Canada purchases are billed in CAD and United States purchases in USD; confirm the amount, currency, taxes and billing interval on Stripe's checkout before paying. Current Season / Annual options are one-time charges, not automatically renewing subscriptions. Any future recurring option must disclose its renewal terms before purchase.

Cancel a recurring subscription through the Stripe billing portal when provided, or email support@basecampcheck.com from your account email before renewal to request cancellation. Cancellation takes effect at the conclusion of the active billing cycle. We do not provide partial-month prorated refunds, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Removing a monitor or replying STOP does not cancel a paid subscription.

The Nomad Pass is a one-time, fixed 14-day access window starting on activation and does not renew. It is non-refundable once activated, except for rights required by applicable law. Third-party bookings, rentals, tickets and products have their own cancellation and refund policies. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

4. SMS notifications

Enrolling a mobile number and setting an SMS alert authorizes automated BasecampCheck notification messages. Message frequency varies based on park cancellations, releases and your alert selections. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel SMS messages or HELP for help; you can also contact support@basecampcheck.com. SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing a non-SMS service. Carrier delays, filtering, connectivity and service interruptions can prevent delivery. Verification codes are used to confirm control of a phone number.

5. Third-party sites and external links

We link to external booking platforms, including Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia and AXS, and to affiliate gear retailers. BasecampCheck exercises no control over their policies, inventory, pricing, availability, security or checkout failures. Your transactions and disputes with these providers are governed by their terms. A link or recommendation is not an endorsement or guarantee.

6. Acceptable use and intellectual property

You may not reverse-engineer the service, mirror it, resell alert notifications, deploy automated bots against our infrastructure, bypass access or plan limits, interfere with other users, or use the service unlawfully. This restriction applies to the extent permitted by law. BasecampCheck content and software remain owned by their respective rights holders. We may suspend misuse or security-threatening activity; we will respect any applicable notice and refund obligations.

7. No guarantees and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of accuracy, fitness, uninterrupted operation or reservation success. BasecampCheck does not guarantee availability, site condition, entry permits, weather safety, or third-party portal uptime. Alerts can be delayed or inaccurate and inventory may disappear before you act.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall BasecampCheck, its founders, or operators be liable for missed reservations, travel cancellation fees, lodging costs, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages. Our aggregate legal liability arising from the service is capped at the total subscription fees paid by you to BasecampCheck within the preceding 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim.

These exclusions and limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liabilities or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing limits responsibility for fraud or other non-excludable misconduct. The platform is not an emergency, navigation, medical or wilderness-safety authority; consult official alerts and use independent judgment.

8. Changes, disputes and contact

We may update these terms and will communicate material changes through the service or your account contact where appropriate. Changes do not remove mandatory legal rights or retroactively change a completed purchase. For billing, refunds, complaints or questions, contact BasecampCheck at support@basecampcheck.com. Applicable consumer laws and courts remain available to you; these terms do not impose a mandatory waiver of those rights.
